Once again government has raised its’ big ol foolish hydra head. Huh you wonder. Well, they’ve gone and made permanent that great Law of Daylight Savings Time!
Now I ask you these foolish questions from this some call an old fool.
Number one and so forth:
How can you save daylight?
Where is it stored?
Is it banked and at what interest rate are we getting for it?
Who captures it and how? Do they corral it, bottle it, or just shove it into some cave?
Who is in charge and how do they know at what rate or amount to save?
It seems like daylight savings time engenders more questions than it answers. Quite befuddling. I’ve really only heard of two instances of daylight being saved or suspended.
That happened when Joshua asked God to stay the sun in Joshua 10:12. Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel: “Sun stand still over Gibeon; And moon, in the valley of Aijalon.” So, the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies.
Another is in Isaiah 38:8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So, the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
Maybe this is why we have leap year?
That’s a question for another time though.
On this incredibly bright, stupendous idea of Daylight savings time as usual the farmer who gets up at the crack of dawn and works till nightfall wasn’t consulted about it! Neither was the NDN though he might have had this look-stoic though it might be of “Say What!” Just as an Ndn home isn’t a teepee, or a mud-hut, but a brick house or wooden one.
He knows the sun rises and sets at its’ own will as God has set its’ time too! It does forbode a serious look at the places Ndns occupy today i.e. land.
Will it be used to store the daylight saved? Will it be safe to do that? What new disease or diseases’ will or could it produce? What will it cost to place it there? How many ndn families will be displaced again? What new REZ will we be forced to move to?
Hmm might we get more beads and trinkets worth more than $24? At least land with no oil, uranium, lumber, gold, or anything else worth having? Heck even if we got the desert sand is still a commodity used in construction.
Shucks may have to move to the moon! Oops already has an American flag and NASA junk there already. hmm junk as a sign of ownership proof of occupation.
This is too much I better go starting to run out of moonlight. Hey there’s an idea moonlight savings time! Yeah, that could work!
